The 2025 Tata Tiago emerges as a compelling choice in the hatchback segment, blending affordability with a suite of modern enhancements. Priced competitively, the Tiago starts at Rs 4.99 lakh for the base XE variant, extending up to Rs 7.30 lakh for the top-tier XZ+ trim.

Exterior and Design

Tata Motors has introduced subtle yet impactful design refinements to the Tiago. The front fascia now features a reimagined grille and air dam, aligning it aesthetically with Tata's contemporary design language. Higher variants are adorned with a shark fin antenna, adding a touch of sophistication. The palette includes four new vibrant colors: Arizona Blue, Supernova Copper, Ocean Blue, and Pristine White, allowing buyers to express their personal style.

Interior and Features

Stepping inside, the Tiago offers a refreshed cabin experience. The introduction of "Melange fabric" upholstery enhances comfort, while the illuminated steering wheel adds a premium feel. The XM petrol variant now includes a height-adjustable driver’s seat and redesigned wheel covers, catering to ergonomic needs. The XT variant is upgraded with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, supporting wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, complemented by a reverse camera, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, 14-inch hyperstyle wheels, and a rear defogger. The XZ variant elevates the tech quotient with a 10.25-inch free-standing infotainment display, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlamps, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster, and 15-inch hyperstyle wheels. The top-tier XZ+ trim adds 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, front fog lamps, rear wash-wipe functionality, cruise control, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ensuring a comprehensive feature set.

Performance and Powertrain

Under the hood, the Tiago continues to house the reliable 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine, delivering 86 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or an automated manual transmission (AMT), providing flexibility to suit different driving preferences. The CNG variants maintain the same powertrain options, offering an eco-friendly alternative without compromising performance.

Safety Enhancements

Safety remains a priority with the inclusion of dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and rear parking sensors as standard across all variants. Higher trims benefit from additional features such as electronic stability control (ESC) and hill hold assist, enhancing overall vehicle stability and driver confidence.

Tiago EV Updates

The electric variant, Tiago EV, mirrors the design and feature updates of its petrol counterpart. It offers two battery pack options: a 19.2 kWh battery providing a range of 250 km, and a 24 kWh battery extending the range to 315 km. The Tiago EV is priced starting at Rs 7.99 lakh, making it an accessible choice for eco-conscious consumers.
